In addition to the lessons we have in class, I alway make sure to give the students some choice time so they can explore different media on their own terms. Here, they are given the opportunity to be their OWN artist without the explicit direction of a teacher. This enhances their own creative development! I cant believe some of the stuff they come up with! Talk about innovators!
